WSU Canvas configuration and decision making is guided through two separate governing bodies, listed below.

LMS Governance Group

The LMS Governance group is comprised of members across WSU’s six campuses. This group meets during the Fall and Spring semesters, as well as during Summer Session. The Governance group focuses mainly on LMS configuration as it relates to the entire WSU system.

Canvas Course Designers and Power Users

The Canvas Course Designers and Power Users group meets cyclically on the last Friday of each month. This team is made up of advanced users of the Canvas system to discuss Canvas updates, release notes, and best practice use of the system. Feature requests released by Canvas are brought to this team for approval before implementation.
